Join us for a Book Launch & Exhibition by Krystal Klear!
Declan Lennon, known to many as Krystal Klear, has spent the last 15 years touring clubs and festival stages across the world thanks to a successful music career.
However in 2023, the unconventional lifestyle of years spent flying between continents caught up with the artist. The result was a significant blow both physically and mentally that stopped Declan in his tracks.
In his book, over 248 pages, Declan uses his camera and love for photography to display an intimate, personal diary. Throughout his layouts and collages, the artist offers an insight into the highs and lows of life on the road, its effect on his personal life, the duality of the touring lifestyle and an unwanted addiction to loneliness.

Both artists share a dynamic, mindful approach to their art making processes, using layered techniques to draw the viewer in.
With their upcoming exhibition at Atelier Now titled ‘Mindscape’, Sean and Colm have created new collections of work to bring viewers on a visual journey into their minds. The works allude to the internal and ever changing landscape that the artists navigate in the pursuit of creating new work.
The process of artmaking is rewarding, expressive, cathartic and challenging all at once. With ‘Mindscape’ the artists strive to bring the essence of this energetic experience to the viewer through the use of vibrant colours, abstract shapes, layered techniques and a playful, yet considered, use of perspective.
When discussing their individual artistic practices, it’s clear that both artists share a mindful approach to their making. The artworks themselves have been created specifically with varying perspectives, so that viewers can spatially interact with them. They are more than just a sum of their parts, with the use of carefully calculated graphic shapes and bold overlays – the artworks aim to transport the viewer on a journey inward and bring the works to completion.

Exhibition continue to 9 Oct, Wed-Sat, 10-4pm (no booking necessary after the preview)

Stephen Burke and Ronan Dillon are two contemporary visual artists, born and bred in Dublin.
In recent years, Ronan moved to work and surf on the west coast of Ireland, while Stephen completed his studies for a Painting Masters in Glasgow. Their respective relocations from Dublin city have informed their individual art practices and given their work a strong sense of place.
With their upcoming two-man show at Atelier Now, titled ‘Driving on a Sponge’, the artists will explore themes of freedom, human and animal vandalism, and speed.
Unbeknownst to each other, the artists had been creating work inspired by uninhibited mark making - capturing specific narratives of the city and countryside with each piece. And as a result, distinct parallels have emerged between both of their practices, despite differing concepts and aesthetic elements.
The artists’ playful use of materials document the ever-changing environments that inspire them. And with this unique collaboration, 'Driving on a Sponge' aims to give viewers a new creative lens to view and experience public spaces.'

‘Make the world go away’
Atelier Now is delighted to present ‘Make the world go away’, a solo exhibition of works by Dublin-based photographer Sarah Doyle.
Book Tickets to the Exhibition Opening Preview - here
As the first exhibition of 2021 at the Atelier Now Gallery, this show will mark the launch of its annual exhibition programme.
Sarah Doyle is a contemporary photographer based in Dublin. As a graduate of the University of the Arts in London, Sarah’s work is playful, feminine, deliberate and ambiguous. Her work questions our relationships with objects and scale, encouraging curiosity of familiar things and questioning our concept of reality.
Sarah will exhibit her newest collection of work entitled ‘Make the world go away’ at Atelier Now. This series of work was created over a four-year period, which culminated in this collection of intimate, engaging and curious photographic moments that reflect Sarah’s unique visual storytelling skills.
Speaking about the collection, Sarah Doyle said: “These images were created in my studio between the years 2015 and 2019. I called this series ‘Make the world go away’, because these were what I was working on when I wasn’t working on other things. I’d find myself visually overwhelmed by the work, and maybe by the world. And this is what I did in return.”
She adds: “I’m always engaged in a kind of exchange with the objects, they feel like characters to me. These colours, lines, light and shadow are all expressions of this world where things can be worked out and the possibilities are endless, it’s about creating your own world.”
Attendance is free, booking essential, tickets will be released online on Friday 4th June - more information to follow.
